Business UAT Manager – CRM Transformation
Contract: 6 months FTC with a view to extend to Dec 26
Day rate: £400-£450
Start: Immediate (February 2026)
Location: Manchester Area – Rochdale
Working arrangement: Hybrid working with some weekly office attendance required
Role Overview
This role is responsible for leading and delivering Business User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across a large-scale CRM transformation programme. The focus is on ensuring CRM changes meet business requirements, support end-to-end customer journeys, and are fit for operational use prior to release.
As a Business UAT Manager you will operate within a complex, enterprise environment and work closely with business stakeholders, delivery partners, and internal technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Business UAT strategy for CRM releases and enhancements.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage structured UAT cycles across multiple business areas.
- Translate business processes, customer journeys, and operational requirements into UAT scenarios.
- Lead business users through UAT execution, defect logging, prioritisation, and re-testing.
- Act as the primary point of contact for UAT-related stakeholder communication.
- Provide clear go / no-go recommendations based on business readiness.
- Maintain UAT documentation including test plans, test reports, and sign-off artefacts.
- Work alongside Product Owners, Delivery Partners, Architects, and Business Leads to ensure alignment.
- Support wider business readiness activities, including identifying training or process gaps.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience leading Business UAT within large-scale transformation programmes.
- Proven experience working on CRM implementations or major CRM change programmes.
- Strong understanding of business processes, customer journeys, and operational impacts.
- Experience using test management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
- Demonstrable experience operating within large, complex, enterprise organisations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including senior leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capability.
- Ability to lead diverse groups of business users through structured UAT cycles.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with external system integrators or delivery partners.
- Exposure to data platform, digital, or cloud-enabled CRM transformations.
- Experience working with Columbus CRM (advantageous)
- Understanding of business change, training, and business readiness activities.
- Experience operating within formal governance and change control frameworks.
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence.
