Location: Central London

Working arrangement: Hybrid with 2-3 days in the office

Salary: £70,000 to £75,000 + 55k (Uncapped Commission)

Overview of the Business Development Manager Role

A leading provider of qualitative feedback and business intelligence for the investment community is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth across its global survey and advisory offerings to listed corporations. This role is ideal for a commercially minded professional with a passion for financial markets, client engagement, and strategic sales.

Key Responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

• Identify and engage prospective clients within the listed corporate segment
• Build and maintain long standing relationships with key decision-makers.
• Develop tailored proposals and presentations to showcase the company’s value proposition.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

• Contribute to the development of sales strategies and revenue targets.
• Execute outreach campaigns and follow up on leads generated through marketing, industry events, and referrals.
• Track sales performance and report on pipeline progress.

Market Intelligence & Positioning:

• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform business development efforts.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and positioning.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with Operations and Advisory teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and delivery.
• Provide feedback to internal teams to improve product offerings and client experience.

Candidate Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a business development manager, sales, or client relationship management, ideally within financial services or data/analytics.
• Strong understanding of investment markets and client needs.
• Experience with long sales cycles, with an ability to maintain consistent communication presale and post-sale
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Self-starter with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
• Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with survey-based or research-driven products is a plus.
