We are supporting a UK-based insurance business with the hire of an FP&A Manager for a permanent role in London, operating within a regulated insurance environment. This FP&A Manager Insurance London opportunity offers hybrid working and exposure to senior stakeholders across finance and the wider business.

Our client is a UK-based specialty insurance and reinsurance organisation operating within the Lloyd’s market. The business underwrites a diverse portfolio across multiple insurance lines and is continuing to invest in its finance and FP&A capability to support growth, governance and performance insight.
This expansion has created an opportunity for an experienced FP&A Manager to play a key role in strengthening planning discipline, forecasting accuracy and management reporting.
The role – FP&A Manager Insurance London
The FP&A Manager plays a key role within the Finance function, owning end-to-end financial planning, forecasting and financial modelling activities. The role works closely with senior stakeholders across underwriting, claims, reserving, reinsurance and finance operations to provide insight, challenge performance and support commercial and strategic decision-making.
Key responsibilities
- Ownership of business planning, budgeting and quarterly reforecasting processes, including Lloyd’s SBD, SBF and annual business budgets
- Production of Board, Executive and Committee reporting – supporting narrative and analysis, explaining variances and issues clearly to senior stakeholders
- Acting as the primary Finance point of contact for planning activities
- Development and enhancement of financial planning models
- Partnering with business leads on class and product-level P&Ls
- Supporting automated and scalable planning processes
- Supporting business cases for change and investment initiatives
- Identification and delivery of process improvement opportunities
- Line management and development of junior team members
Requirements
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong FP&A experience within Insurance
- Relevant and recent experience in a multi-line insurance finance role – essential
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – TM1 experience highly desirable
- Strong analytical and stakeholder management capability
